Long time Gone

Again, it's been a long time. I guess the summer is just busy with out-door events. Boating, BBQ's, camping and such. I'm going to post a bunch of pictures for all to see. These are from Cooper's 3rd birthday.

Karsyn learned how to ride her bike without training wheels over Father's Day weekend. She is still doing great at it. Here is a picture of the shirt that we made for Brandon for Daddy's day.

We took my mom and my niece and nephew on a little family vacation to Twin Lakes, WA. We've done it in the years past and everyone has a great time. Here are some lake pictures and some of the kids goofing around before bed.

We took the kids down to fish off the dock. I was told that it wasn't the right time of day to actually catch fish and the kids only lasted about 1/2 hour. Oh well atleast we can say we did it.

Our dog Lola actually got to come out on the boat. She proved to be quite the water-dog when she finally got over the thought that she needed to rescue us.
It has been a great summer full of tons of fun stuff. School starts here next week which will be a whole new exciting road to take. Bailey will start 3rd grade and Karsyn will begin pre-school. She'll be 5 at the end of September so she just missed the cut off date for Kindergarten. I'm hoping that she will do well away from me. She hasn't really had the opportunity to venture out on her own much. She'll also start Gymnastics the same day she starts school. Might as well tackle it all at once, right? Oh, she'll be fine... it'll probably be the mommy that has a rougher time than her. Good luck to all the kids that are going to school. I hope that you all have a great year.

Time Flies

Wow, where has the time gone? We've been super busy with our Spring/Summer activities. We've gone camping again since the last post and this time (per Bailey's request) we took our dog Lola. She did pretty well but she had to stay tied up or on a leash. The kids walked her around a lot and she even took Karsyn for a walk one time (well she ran and pulled Karsyn behind her).

Ahh, the days of the slip N slide. Brandon took a work trip to CA in March and brought back the gift for the girls. Karsyn has been asking to use it since he brought it home. We finally had a nice evening to get it out after work. They had a blast.

Boating and the Sand-Dunes. Our family bought a boat last year and enjoyed it very much. Cooper is now big enough to really have a blast. We put him on the tube for a nice slow and easy ride while the girls were on one of our friends' boats getting a wild ride.

Memorial Day weekend has tons of activities for the good ol town of Moses Lake. It's our Annual Spring Festival: Carnival, Parade, Car Show and Sidewalk Chalk display. The kids love going down to draw on the streets of downtown. There is also a fountain thing next to the Post Office now so of course they had to check that out too. Cousins were in town for the festivities so they are included in a few of the pictures too. I'm not sure how many actually look at this site but I'm going to try harder to write more often and post more pictures.

Beef, it's what's for dinner

One of our kids' favorite dinners is when we have Beef Ribs. I, myself could take it or leave it but the kids love em. So we decided to BBQ a big ol' rack of ribs on Sunday night. I had to take a couple of pictures since the portions that they were eating were bigger than their heads. Bailey ate 3, Karsyn had 2 and I think Cooper may have finished his 1. MMmmmm Beef.

Pictures Found !!!

So here are some of the pictures that I previously wrote about. Yes, it's great to have a computer genious for a husband. Thank you my love.

Unfortunate Accident

So, we have had a fun filled month or so. We've been BBQ'ing in the awesome weather mixed with shoveling some unwanted snow... not quite shoveling, but it was an unwelcome snowfall. We've been to a soccer tournament, courtesy of our 8 year old daughter. Then we made a trip to the dentist, with the added bonus of seeing all of our immediate family on Brandon's side. Had our teeth worked on, visited with our family and ate a yummy dinner. It was a quick trip to Pullman, about a 2 hour drive from here, but we needed to get back to get ready for our first camping trip of the year. We were only travelling about 30 minutes away from home but it was perfect. The kids went fishing, rode bikes, blew bubbles, and then we ate dinner followed up by the S'mores. They had a blast and even though it was only one night it was perfect for our first trip. We were literally gone for only 24 hours. Now, my unfortunate accident comes into play here... I have lost all my pictures of this fun filled trip. I'm very sad because my potty-trained 2 year old was pleased to announce that now he is able to "go" on a tree. It was the cutest thing ever to get that perfect picture of his bare booty while "doing his business". Now maybe that is a sight only a mother could love but it was the cutest little bare booty I've ever seen. I envisioned my latest project of printing it out in black and white, oh about an 8 x 10 size, and framing it for a bathroom decoration. I think that would be the perfect place for it. Well now I guess I won't get the "first" time framed but I will get that picture, so help me I will get it. So, now I must work on getting more pictures for my blog.. this loss saddens me, but I will get over it.

It's Been a While

So it's been about a month. My birthday came and went, no pictures to prove it. Cooper is officially potty-trained. The Flu bug came and went, literally through everyone in my house (with the exception of Bailey and Brandon-that's a good thing)... but unfortunately ALL the daycare kids ended up getting it in one form or the other. Then, bless their hearts, they passed it on to their own families. So I think that it's finally dead. There are remnants of it in one last baby, but he's doing better. Strict inforcement of the BRAT diet around here... and no stains on my carpet YIPEE.

Then came Bailey's 8th birthday. We celebrated with Grandma Jane, Nana and Papa at the house on her actual day, but then it was a bowling party on the weekend. The kids had a great time. Bowling, Pizza, and cupcakes. It was super simple but the kids were none the wiser. In order to keep the chaos level to a minimum I pleaded with the dads of the three young boys in our group to maybe do something else with them. They decided since it was a nice enough day to take them fishing. It was three daddy's and a soon to be 4 year old, and two 2 1/2 year olds out to hit the lake to catch some fish. Cooper was very excited and it helped me out for the birthday party. Yeah, daddy to the rescue. No fish were caught, but it was a good day anyway.

Potty Training

We started on Thursday, things have been going exceptionally well. I have a ton of Princess Pull-Ups that are left over from my daughter and also some hand-me-downs that are Princess from a friend of mine, just for outings. Good thing that he doesn't mind, in fact, he kinda likes em. For the most part he's been in big boy underwear (Spiderman and Thomas the Train, and for Valentine day we'll expand his underwear collection into Cars). One benefit is that I really don't ever leave the house except to the grocery store on the weekend so I can devote full attention to this feat that we will master. Yeah Cooper. Now, does anyone have an idea on how to get him off the candy? That was the main incentive at the beginning... I'm wondering if he's just going to get the stuff. I would like to switch over to something a little healthier but I don't want to discourage him when he is doing so well. Help... to be continued.
